The candle wick experiment

Wick grades. 20 - weakest burn, thinnest 23 - bit stronger and thicker 26 - strongest burn & thickest.

Outcome. 38 burned so hot it burnt out the wax and split the pot. 32 gave the best flame and wax pool.

Wax. Soft wax on top and harder wax in the lower half. Wicks burn differently determined by the wax properties.

Outcome. Grade 26 burnt very hot making a deep pool. 23 burned with a steady flame & consistent wax pool.

Outcome. Using the same wick as the herb pots, 26 gave the best flame and consistent wax pool.
